Ali Haydar Kebab

Top Turkish place opened late night and have excellent menu to pick from. My favourite was Lahmacun and lamb Durum. Kabab Durum was outstanding. Very friendly staff and excellent quick service. Near train station of Geneva.

Very good lamb donor. I’ve visited twice so far, the adana kebab and iskender kebab are also good. Plenty of seating.

Omg, I can’t say enough about this place! Living in Belfast, we don’t have great kebab shops in the city, so I really miss good, delicious cuisine. I ordered the Adana Kebab and Ayran, and it was absolutely amazing—I loved it! The prices are reasonable; it cost 29 Swiss Francs, but it was definitely worth it. I even told them how incredible it was. Hopefully, they’ll see my comment and know how much I enjoyed it. Highly recommend!

OMG! I have traveled the world from Turkey to Timbuktu in search of the perfect kebab and found it here at Ali Haydar. I must admit it was my favorite a few years ago when I lived in Geneva, and the place was just a small corner kebab stall with a few seats. I continued traveling to verify my assumption and sure enough, I have been unable to find a kebab anywhere in the world as good as the ones here. Alas, I returned in 2023 to find the place expanded and upgraded- a bit fancy even. The atmosphere is phenomenal with a cool laid-back vibe and great service. And— most importantly —the kebabs are still astonishingly delicious.

Location: about 7-10 minutes walking from most hotels in the old city. Atmosphere: relatively small inside. We’ve preferred setting outside since the weather was amazing. Service: amazing and very friendly. Our waiter knew the menu in detail and gave us excellent advices and service. Menu: acceptable variety, mainly small dishes. Quality: the food quality is excellent and the dishes we have ordered tasted very delicious.

Nice kebab restaurant and setup. Staff were friendly and quick to serve us the food. Our platter of rice, grilled assorted meat, salad was sizable portion for Asians like us who would order one to share. Overall good experience!
